WS-FTP

When you have installed the software, open it up.
You will see a screen which looks like this.

Look closely at the smaller screen - the one Laying on the larger one.

What you see at first are the default settings. Click New and change them to suit your Host/Server Settings;
Then Click Apply to save your changes.

Now click Startup on the tab. You will see this screen.
If you have already built your website on your own PC, set Initial Local Folder to the folder where your files are stored. Click Apply

Now click Advanced on the tab. You will see this screen Here, make sure that the passive transfers checkbox is checked. Click Apply if it isn't.
Leave the Firewall tab alone - but if you're using a personal firewall you will need to configure it to allow WS_FTP to transfer files through the firewall.
Click OK to close the configuration screen.

What you see now is the screen with the two panes. Click Connect. On the Left you see files on your PC, on the Right, those on the servers where your website will be hosted.
To upload files, simply click on the file to upload, and use the arrows to transfer.
